Show individuals where they can indulge in their morning coffee ritual, and families where they can relax and get comfortable on the couch for movie nights.
Show the buyer what a socialite they will be when they live in a home where they can host friends for dinner parties.Whether you choose to physically stage or virtually stage is up to you! Both have been shown to have positive affects on the selling process.
The National Association of REALTORS Research Group gathered the following statistics when examining home sales:
- Twenty-five percent reported that staging a home greatly decreased the amount of time the home was on the market
- One-quarter of buyer’s agents said that staging a home increased the dollar value offered between one and five percent, compared to other similar homes on the market that are not staged
- Eighty-three percent of buyers’ agents said staging a home made it easier for a buyer to visualize the property as a future home. • Buyers were more willing to walk through a home they saw online
The Consumer Guide to Real Estate Staging also found homes to sell faster when staged:
“RESA studied 63 homes that were previously on the market not staged. These 63 homes sat on the market, on average, for 143 days before the homeowners gave up and called in a professional home stager. Those same homes were staged and received their first offer, on average, 40 days after being professionally staged.”
